Sintered stone is the third generation of large-format surfaces — the step beyond ceramic (Gen 1) and porcelain (Gen 2). It is made entirely from natural minerals such as quartz, feldspar and clay, ground to a fine powder, compacted under enormous pressure and fired above 1,200°C. The process fuses the particles into one dense slab, recreating in hours the heat-and-pressure that forms natural stone over thousands of years — unlike engineered stones such as quartz, which are held together with chemical resin binders.
How it is different
Because the pattern runs through the entire body of the slab and there is virtually no porosity, sintered stone resists heat, scratches, stains and UV fading far better than natural marble or standard porcelain. It never needs sealing, it will not etch from acids like lemon or wine, and the surface is hygienic and food-safe.
Big is beautiful
Each Big Slab panel measures 160 × 320 cm at just 12 mm thick — one continuous piece covering 5.12 m². Fewer joints mean a calmer, more seamless surface, whether it wraps a kitchen island, clads a feature wall or runs across a floor.
Where to use it
Countertops, islands and bars; feature walls, backsplashes and facades; and floors in high-traffic spaces — indoors and out. The same slab works everywhere.
